Lets have fun with flowers.
Although the wedding season is still in full swing and we did a couple of weddings, for brides Geraldine and Elfie, we thought we’d focus on the Flower Crown Hens Party we held for 25 lovely ladies in Willeton last Saturday afternoon. The Sweet Floral motif of “Lets have fun with flowers” was certainly the order of the day. All the things that go towards making a Hen Party a great event were on show. Firstly a beautiful bride-to-be, secondly friends and family who are keen to organise and make things happen together with Sweet Floral, and finally lots of enthusiasm and a sense of fun from all the attendees. Below is a picture of the bride-to-be, Clare.
We’ll look at the part that Sweet Floral play in making the day a success. The work starts in the weeks leading up to the day of the party. Liaising with the organiser for times for arriving and setting up, finalising the numbers and getting the flowers ordered in good time from our suppliers. We check whether we need to bring our own trestle tables and how many. In the days leading up to the party we will ensure that all the aprons and table clothes are washed and ironed. We check we have enough scissors and parafilm tape. Each guest will have their own wire band to attach their flowers too and individual posy bouquets of 6 different flowers each. On each table there will also be an array of different flowers and greenery for everyone to share. The photograph gives an indication of what the set-up looks like.
Sweet floral will do all the above and give a demonstration of how to make the flower crown but which and how many flowers you use is entirely up to you. It’s true to say that many guests have amazed themselves, and us, by just how beautiful their creations have been. Here are the girls in full swing.
Also entirely up to you is the question of refreshments during the 2 hour session. Parties have celebrated with wine and champagne, soft drinks or even with a traditional afternoon high tea. On this occasion the girls had a lovely picnic as you can see below.
And when all is done it’s time to fit your flower crown and admire your handy work.
Here is a photograph of all the guests and their amazing creations.
All that left is for Sweet Floral to tidy everything away and load up the van, happy in the knowledge that everyone had a great afternoon!
