Sweet Floral’s early start.
It was an early start for the Sweet Floral team last Sunday for the wedding of Melania and Darius. Leaving at 7.30am the first drop was to the home, in Darch, of the beautiful Bride-to-be, Melania, to deliver her bouquet, the 6 bridesmaids bouquets and assorted buttonholes and corsages. Then it was straight on to Ballajurra to deliver the buttonholes for Darius, the Groom, and his 6 Groomsmen. Her is a photograph we took of Melania’s bouquet in our workshop.
The Large posy style bouquet with white Peonies , white David Austin Roses and soft blush pink secret garden Roses, was finished with soft ivory ribbon down the stems. Here is an amazing professional photograph taken on the day by Rob Watson Photography. One of many photographs taken by Rob that you can see on the Sweet Floral Facebook page. Thank you Rob who also took the great photograph of Mel and Darius at the head of the post.
To the Church.
Then it was on to Balga to set-up in the Romanian Pentecostal Church. A great building with it’s amazing feeling of Community. When the church was opened by the caretaker at 9.00 am we were straight in to decorate the pew-ends, to place the pedestals with large vases of silk displays, and spread silk rose petals with candles either side of the aisle carpet. Here is a photograph we took when complete.
By now it was 9.30am and just time to nip home for a cup of coffee before returning at 10.30am to light all the candles prior to the wedding service at 11.00am.
Interval of sorts.
Now it was home again for another drink, tea this time, and a sandwich.
Back to the Church and on to the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Perth.
Then began the task of loading up the van with:
- 45 bunches of Delphiniums
- A 1.5metre Long and low of delphiniums, white roses, white spray roses, white seasonal blooms and a little greenery for the bridal table.
- 21 60cm cylinder vases.
- 7 vases for bride and bridesmaids bouquets.
- Cake flowers
- 6 small vases with same flowers as in the long and low.
We arrived back at the church at 1.00pm and collected everything from there, packed in the van, and tidied up.
Then it was on to the Grand Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency to prepare for the arrival of over 200 guests. Everything to be ready for 5.00pm when Mel and Darius arrived. Here are some photographs we took before the guests arrived. Starting with one of the table displays.
Here is a photo of the aisle leading to the cake and the bridal table with its lovely backdrop.
And Finally a photograph showing a brides-eye view of the room.
Mission Accomplished.
By 4.30pm everything was ready for Mel and Darius. For the Sweet Floral team, Nicky, Brian, Sophie and Cassie, all that remained was to load up the van once more. A challenging but fun and exciting day had come to an end. All that remained was to return to the Hyatt Regency at 7.00am the following day to collect everything.
